  • LBA Swarm Capture List

The below list of beekeepers are Loudoun Beekeepers Association (LBA) members willing to collect swarms of honey bees. LBA members are volunteers and may be limited by location and schedule. Many of the volunteers work other jobs and they will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Members generally capture and extract honey bees for free - unless there is an unusual condition like bees inside walls, columns, roofs  or other structures that make extraction very difficult. Then the homeowner or landlord may have to call a carpenter to aid in the bee removal.

We had quite a few bees that appeared suddenly and I was worried they were trying to move in here :) We didnt have a swarm but Mark still came out the same day and assessed our house, and explained what to look for and put us at ease. Will definitely call him back if we get a swarm! Highly recommend.

Mark showed up about 40 minutes after I called him and did an excellent job of locating the queen and safely gathering up the swarm in my backyard!  Awesome guy!
